Happy Friday, dear reader, from your jetlagged and very excited Nagman.
Sometimes a coincidence of such magnitude strolls up and hits you firmly between the eyes, and cannot easily be ignored.
Although ultimately, it remains nothing more than a coincidence, on the flight over here with British Airways, the in flight magazine carried an article on... you guessed it... the life and times of Dylan Thomas.
But wait, it gets spookier. Much spookier... For tomorrow, 27th October, Breeders Cup day, also happens to be the birthday of.... Dylan Thomas!
How's that for karma?!
Of course the horse may get stuffed, leaving me with Llareggub in my betfair account. But if he wins, I will surely be Under Milk Wood (whatever that means: I'm no literary smartypants!).
[Incidentally, Llareggub is the fictional town in Under Milk Wood, DT's most famous work, for those who don't know. If you want to know why its material in the above sentence, read it backwards...]
Enough already, for I have a train to catch to the Friday races (a more facile cash extraction from a mug punter will rarely be seen, as I attempt to scan the DRF with some half baked aspiration of finding a winner or two!)
Friday Fun before I go, and this is one of the best voiceovers I've ever seen. Not very PC, but hilarious, and will bring back memories for many of happy innocent childhood times....
